Hi, I’m Gavin Perkins, a Youth Performance Coach, Head Coach of RISE Academy, and lifelong student of health, fitness, and athletic development.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and hold certifications as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), NASM Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC), and CPR/AED provider. My passion for coaching began through my own athletic journey, which included four years of NCAA Division III baseball, where I served as a team captain and learned firsthand the value of discipline, resilience, and personal growth.
Today, I specialize in helping youth athletes improve speed, agility, strength, movement quality, and injury resilience while building confidence both on and off the field. I also enjoy helping adults develop healthier lifestyles, improve movement, and regain confidence in their abilities.
My coaching philosophy centers around patience, education, and individualized coaching. Every athlete and client is unique, and I believe successful training should reflect that. Whether you’re chasing athletic goals, improving your health, or simply looking to become a better version of yourself, my goal is to provide the support, knowledge, and encouragement needed to help you succeed.
My mission is simple: use fitness as a vehicle to help people become the strongest version of themselves—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
